ملخّص: يتناول هذا البحث التحوّلات التي شهدتها إدلب منذ 2011 حتى سقوط نظام الأسد في ديسمبر/كانون الأوّل 2024. ينطلق البحث من تتبّع الخلفيات التاريخية والاجتماعية لإدلب، ثم يحلّل صعود هيئة تحرير الشام وتحولات قيادتها ودورها في إعادة صياغة المشهدين العسكري والسياسي، ويستعرض أيضًا طبيعة التحالفات والتنافسات بين الفصائل، والعوامل الإقليمية والدولية التي أسهمت في جعل إدلب “درع الثورة الأخير”. وفي النهاية يسلّط الضوء على حملة "عملية ردع العدوان"، التي انطلقت من إدلب وانتهت بإسقاط النظام في دمشق. يُظهر هذا البحث كيف شكّلت إدلب نموذجًا لفهم مجمل المسار الثوري السوري وتعقيداته، ومن ذلك مساعي بناء نموذجٍ للحكم المحلي، وفرص إعادة هيكلة الدولة على أسسٍ جديدة.
Abstract:
This research examines the transformations that Idlib has undergone from 2011 until the fall of the Assad regime in December 2024. It begins by tracing the historical and social backgrounds of Idlib, then analyzes the rise of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, its leadership shifts, and its role in reshaping the military and political landscape. The study also explores the nature of alliances and rivalries among factions, as well as the regional and international factors that contributed to making Idlib the "last shield of the revolution." Finally, it highlights the "Operation Deterrence of Aggression" campaign, which originated in Idlib and culminated in the fall of the regime in Damascus. This research demonstrates how Idlib served as a model for understanding the overall trajectory of the Syrian revolution and its complexities, including efforts to establish a model of local governance and opportunities for restructuring the state on new foundations.
