Guide to Authors

Rouya Turkiyyah, currently publishing its 15th issue, is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal focusing on current political, economic, and social issues. It covers a wide range of topics related to Turkish domestic politics and foreign policy, major developments in Türkiye’s neighboring regions, and international politics.

:The journal publishes four types of written content

I. Research Articles (5,000–7,000 words)
II. Commentaries (3,500–4,000 words)
III. Review Articles (2,000–3,000 words)
IV. Book Reviews (no more than 1,500 words)

General Guidelines

I. For manuscripts submitted in Arabic, the title and abstract of the study should first be provided in Arabic, followed immediately by the title and abstract in English.

II. Manuscripts may be submitted through the DergiPark system or sent by email to [email protected].

III. The abstract should state the purpose, scope, methodology, findings, and conclusion of the study. Both the Arabic and English abstracts should be between 150 and 250 words in length.

IV. The abstract should be followed by a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords reflecting the content of the article.

Writing Guidelines

I. Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format.

II. Manuscripts must include the title and abstract in both Arabic and English (150–200 words), as well as 3–5 keywords in both Arabic and English, and a “References” section at the end of the article.

III. The author's institutional affiliation, academic position/title, email address, and ORCID iD should be provided on the first page of the manuscript.

IV. Where figures and tables are subject to copyright, written permission must be obtained from the copyright holder for both print and electronic use. The source must be indicated beneath the relevant table or figure using the label “Source.”

V. The page size should be A4, with margins set to 2.5 cm on all sides.

VI. The main text should be written in Times New Roman, 9-point font. Main section headings should be in the same font at 13 points, while subheadings should be 10 points and bold.

VII. Footnote reference numbers should be placed after punctuation marks.

VIII. The Chicago Notes and Bibliography citation and reference system should be used for footnotes and references.

Style and Formatting Guidelines

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts comply with the style guidelines of Rouya Turkiyyah. Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise language. Authors whose first language is not Arabic are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed and proofread by a professional editor before submission.
